Children’s classes
Art for little ones
This is a 10-12 week course for pre-school children from 18 months, on Fridays 9.45–10.30 and 10.45-11.30 . It is an opportunity for children and their parents/carers to have fun, get creative and enjoy mess.
After school and saturday art
We offer weekly classes during term time from Monday through to Saturday. Each term we explore a different theme using a range of materials and approaches.
Create in clay
This is a new after school class on Thursdays and it’s all about getting creative with clay, from pinch pots and modeling to throwing on a wheel.
Print and sew
This is a new after school children’s sewing class held on Fridays that explores textiles (such as silk screen on fabric or batique) to pattern cutting and sewing (both by hand and with machines).
GCSC/A-level portfolio projects
We base this course on a tutorial model with no more than 6 pupils in the group. There is a focus on drawing in its widest sense as a core part of the course and opportunity for each person to expand their line of enquiry in a personal way without the usual restrictions of space [...]
Holiday workshops
We run art workshops during half term and holidays with different themes, for 4 to 8 year olds and for 8 years and older.
Art parties
Book your child’s birthday party with us at Kite Studios. We tailor the occasion according to your child’s interests. Examples of previous themes include ‘Treasure islands’, ‘Wild beasts’ and ‘Contemporary felt jewelry’.
Private tuition
We offer one to one tuition and small group tuition. These can be made as regular (e.g. weekly) or individual bookings, and we can teach either in the studio or at your home.
Bespoke courses
We are often asked to design a course to meet the needs of a specific group of children, either in a school, at your home or at Kite Studios.
