What we do

Our Drop-in and Draw course is designed to help you to improve your drawing skills by learning new techniques and experimenting with different drawing styles and methods.

Often it is a perceived lack of basic drawing skills that holds people back from exploring their artistic creativity – but like any other creative pursuit, developing drawing skills takes practice, guidance and more than a little trial and error.

This course is a wonderful opportunity for you to build upon skills that you might not even know you have laying dormant. It is a nonjudgemental creative space where we will encourage people to grow in their confidence as well as their ability. At Kite Studios we focus on exploring the artistic process, aiming to develop skills in conceptual thinking and tapping your innate creativity.

We encourage a methodology involving playfulness, experimentation, trial and error, exploration of the functionality of tools, materials, processes and the attainment of the state of flow. You will also have access to our extensive library of inspirational art materials and fine art books available for browsing.

Try one class

We offer a trial class in this course at a special discounted price. This gives you the opportunity to join us for a single session to sample the course content, explore and create art in our beautiful and well equipped ground floor courtyard garden studio, and experience the friendly, open and creative atmosphere. You can treat this trial class as an introduction to the activities that will be covered in the course over the term.

Drop in as suits your schedule

The Drop-in and Draw course can also be attended on a drop in basis, so you are welcome to join us as suits your schedule.

Join once the term has commenced

Missed the start of term? You are also welcome to join the course at any point in the term, provided there is availability, however please contact us if you would like to start after the first class of the term has already run, as the course price will be reduced to reflect the number of classes remaining in the term.
