Clay Camp February Half Term 2023

Time: Wednesday 1:00 – 3:00 (age 8+) & Thursday 10:00 – 12:00 (Age 4-8) / 1:00 – 3:00 (Age mixed ages)

Project: Hand building and throwing on the wheel
Venue: Kite Studios

These creative workshops explore different ways of using clay including hand-building and throwing on the wheel. Children will throw a pot and build their own clay figurines.

Classes at Kite Studios focus on teaching our students the skill of creating treasure from materials we tend to discard – and what better way of learning this than turning a lump of clay into a beautiful creation? 

At Kite Studios we focus on imbuing each session with creativity, flexibility and problem solving to create a generation of young people equipped to live sustainably. 

PLEASE NOTE the class does not include firing, as the children will focus on the experience of working with clay and learning about pottery, rather than the outcome. This is reflected in the lower price for the class, making it more accessible. If you do want your child’s work to be fired, you can book this separately here.

If your class has to be cancelled, we will keep you updated with different options for joining a workshop on an alternative date in the Summer Holidays or a refund. 

Please note that all Kite bookings are non-refundable unless cancelled by us (see our terms and conditions).  Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds but you can transfer your place to another child.
