What we do
Our Drop-in and Draw course is designed to help you to improve your drawing skills by learning new techniques and experimenting with different drawing styles and methods.
Often it is a perceived lack of basic drawing skills that holds people back from exploring their artistic creativity – but like any other creative pursuit, developing drawing skills takes practice, guidance and more than a little trial and error.
This course is a wonderful opportunity for you to build upon skills that you might not even know you have laying dormant. It is a nonjudgemental creative space where we will encourage people to grow in their confidence as well as their ability. At Kite Studios we focus on exploring the artistic process, aiming to develop skills in conceptual thinking and tapping your innate creativity.
We encourage a methodology involving playfulness, experimentation, trial and error, exploration of the functionality of tools, materials, processes and the attainment of the state of flow. You will also have access to our extensive library of inspirational art materials and fine art books available for browsing.
Try one class
This trial class gives you the opportunity to join us for a single session to sample the course content, explore and create art in our beautiful and well equipped ground floor courtyard garden studio, and experience the friendly, open and creative atmosphere. You can treat this class as an introduction to the activities that will be covered in the course over the term. Please note that there is only one trial class allocated per person per term.
Drop in as suits your schedule
If you have had your trial class and would like to continue but cannot attend all the sessions in the course, we also offer drop in classes in this course that you can book on a per class basis, as suits your schedule. You can book a drop in class at any point in the term.
