The Printmaking with Etching Press course introduces adult students to the imaginative and unique world of printmaking. The course is led by seasoned printmaker Sally Grumbridge who takes students through everything that there is to know about printmaking and – more importantly – gets students involved in making their own prints, editioning, mounting and even exhibiting their prints if they wish.
In the term-long course you will learn all about the etching press and the different printmaking capabilities that it offers. In addition, you’ll learn multiple techniques – from intaglio processes such as dry point and collagraph to relief printing with lino or woodcut and all the bits and pieces in between. The course is a fun and exciting look into the world of printmaking led by an experienced artist and teacher. You are sure to walk away with an abundance of knowledge and skills that you can use both in printmaking and in other creative pursuits.
