Exploring printmaking every afternoon with a process focused approach, varied themes and techniques – from bayeux tapestry theme to shadow puppet profiles, each day resulting in an exquisite print!
Classes at Kite Studios focus on teaching our students the skill of creating treasure from materials we tend to discard. .Drawing is the central starting point for all classes at Kite. We work to enhance children’s ability to draw from observation and their imagination. By introducing the work of famous artists in each class and new techniques like painting and printmaking, we help them develop a drawing and create a finished piece. Our key aim is for students to feel empowered by their ability to experiment freely with materials, solve problems and reflect on the work they make.
We focus on different techniques on different days.
Please be aware that we need 4 attendees for a class to go ahead at the present time. If your class has to be cancelled, we will be in touch beforehand with different options for joining a workshop on an alternative date in the half term or a refund.
